Roasted Quebec corn flour modified the recipe for a dark chocolate with corn "milk." The corn flour is mild and imparts a nutty flavor. The result is a smooth and comforting chocolate, nutty and slightly floral.

Carenero is a Trinitario variety of cacao. These beans come from northern Venezuela and are harvested at the Hacienda San José farm in the state of Sucre. Founded in 1830, Hacienda San José has been owned by the Franceschi family for six generations. They produce delicious cacao while promoting respect for biodiversity and sustainability and actively participating in local community life.   

Comforting and decadent. Cocoa-forward, yet smooth and slightly floral, with nutty notes imparted by the roasted corn flour.
