Chocolat Dicitte


The beans used in this bar come from the San Martín region of northeastern Peru. They are grown in the Chazuta district by 370 small farmers from a local farmers' coop, and certified organic and fairtrade. For many farmers, cocoa farming has replaced growing coca. The coop thus helps them make better profits and access collective facilities to ferment and dry their beans. Their cocoa is a genetic blend of criollo and trinitario, but its specific profile greatly owes to the unique regional climate as well.

Elegant and cocoa-forward, notes of pears and caramel, toasted almond finish.
